Gabe Crenshaw

Gabe is the Campus Director of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships at Cuyahoga Community College’s Westshore Campus. She leads a team committed to access and student success. Her 20 year career is inclusive of K12, higher education and workforce development experience. She has previously served as a nonprofit program manager. In this role she developed and implemented career pathway programming for youth to have high engagement opportunities with in demand industry organizations. As a high school college counselor she assisted students, mostly first generation, and their families with the college application process. She has always encouraged students to use education to create upward economic mobility.
Gabe has been a board trustee for Seeds of Literacy, Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation and most recently served as board president for the Heights Libraries. She has served her local public school community as a PTA leader and engagement task force member. Gabe earned a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Akron. She earned a Bachelor of Science in management with a concentration in finance from Case Western Reserve University. It was at Case where her career in higher education would begin as a work-study student.
Gabe is an advocate for education equity and believes we all have a right to a high quality education. She resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio where she and her husband Kelton have raised their three children, Nasir, Londyn and Kelsey. She is an active member of Bethany Baptist Church.
