Precious Malembeka

Precious T. Malembeka is a native Jacksonian and an educational leader, serving in her second year as Assistant Principal at McWillie Elementary School. McWillie is the only publicly funded Montessori school in Mississippi serving children ages three to twelve. Precious puts study into practice leading and developing Professional Learning Communities and professional development sessions n her current role. During the 2018-2019 school year, Mrs. Malembeka studied Educational Leadership at The University of Mississippi, earning a Specialist degree. She was the first person sponsored by Jackson Public School District to serve in the 10th Cohort of The University of Mississippi Principal Corps. Mrs. Malembeka?s first opportunity to put theory into practice was during her internships at Barack H. Obama Magnet IB Elementary School (fall 2018) and Henry J. Kirksey Middle School (Spring 2019). Her recent experience has helped Precious to be selected as one of the JPS A3 Summer Camp Principals. In 2020, Mrs. Malembeka was honored to serve as one of three elementary principals for the Jackson Public School District Inaugural Virtual Summer Boost Program. Before venturing into administration, Precious has five years of classroom teaching experience, serving in the general and special education realms. While teaching business at Provine High School in 2018, Mrs. Malembeka was awarded the Jackson Public School District Golf Coach of the Year. Mrs. Malembeka has acquired nonprofit experience by founding and incorporating The First Tee of Central Mississippi. Precious served the organization in multiple capacities, including Interim Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors. During her tenure, some of Mrs. Malembeka?s accomplishments include securing a six-figure commitment from Century Club Charities/Sanderson Farms Championship and incorporating a 501(c)3 organization with the Internal Revenue Services and MS Secretary of the State. Precious loves to help her community and youth. Her association with the Junior League of Jackson, Alignment Jackson Middle School Team (a subsidiary of the United Way), Jackson Professional Group, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has helped serve her life?s mission. Precious lives in Jackson, MS, with her husband Fidelis and three children, Faith, Fidelis III, and Farah. Mrs. Malembeka and her family are avid golfers.
